Tim began his career in the financial services industry in January 1992 as a paraplanner at IDS Financial Services and opened his financial advisor office in 1994. He obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1996, and, in 2003, joined Commonwealth Financial Network®. Tim is the founding member and senior advisor at Weller Financial Group.
Weller Financial Group is located in the finger lakes region of New York, just south of Lake Ontario. The practice has five financial advisors and four non-licensed employees. The office operations have been mostly created by and exclusively managed by Tim’s longest-tenured employee and sister, Christine, since she started in 1995.
Tim and his wife, Lara, grew up and continue to reside in Ontario. They have two daughters, Jordyn and Camryn.

Adam joined Weller Financial Group in October 2020 and became a co-owner of Weller Financial Group in January 2021. After receiving his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport, Adam began his career as a Financial Advisor in December 2014 . He maintains FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and licenses for life, health and variable insurance, and in March 2024 he obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Adam grew up and continues to reside in Marion, with his wife and three children and is active in the local community.
Chris, one of Tim's sisters, began working with Tim in October 1995 as his office assistant. She is now the director of operations and became a co-owner of Weller Financial
Group in January 2021. Chris is responsible for maintaining office efficiency and assisting all advisors with client requests. She oversees the support staff with daily tasks, processes all client and account paperwork, and assists in establishing and maintaining operational processes within the office. She is a New York state notary public and is able to provide notarization for clients who require this service.
Chris and her husband, Philip, reside in Ontario with their rescue dogs, Dexter and Rebel. She enjoys reading, camping, boating, and antiquing.
Dillon joined Weller Financial Group full-time in June 2018 and most recently became a co-owner in July 2024. He began working with Weller Financial Group in 2013 during high school as an intern on projects, research, and financial reports. In June 2018 he officially joined the team as a paraplanner, then moved into the role of financial advisor in September 2021. Since then Dillon obtained his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and in March 2024 he obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Dillon grew up in Webster and graduated in 2018 from Clemson University, South Carolina, with a BS in health science administration. He is an avid Clemson football fan and enjoys traveling back to campus for games and being a part of the Clemson community. He is the oldest of seven children, and family is an integral part of his life. In his spare time he enjoys playing men’s league hockey, softball, golf and coaching hockey for his younger brother and nephew’s team. He now resides in Rochester with his fiancée Hannah and their rescue dog, Pete.
Matt has been in the financial services industry since 2007. He joined Weller Financial Group in January 2015 as a financial advisor. Matt maintains FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63 securities registrations and licenses for life, health, variable, and long-term care insurance in several states. Matt is also licensed as a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) through The American College of Financial Services®.
Matt and his wife, Lindsy, reside in Webster, New York, with their two daughters, Olivia and Emilia. Matt is an avid golfer and enjoys participating in other sports throughout the year.
Dan joined Weller Financial Group in August 2021 as a full-time paraplanner and transitioned to a financial advisor role in May 2022. He began his career in financial advising in January 2019 and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, along with licenses for life, health, and variable insurance. Additionally, Dan is an active member of the United States Coast Guard.
Originally from Rochester, Dan moved to Ontario and graduated from Wayne Central High School. He earned an Associate’s degree in Sport Management from Monroe Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington. Dan now lives in Penfield with his wife Allison, whom he met at Wayne Central. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, and vacationing with his family, particularly in the Outer Banks and Puerto Rico.Jennifer, one of Tim’s sisters, began working at Weller Financial Group in September 2008. Her responsibilities include research and projects to maintain practice efficiency; maintaining the client database, company website, social media platforms, advertising and company events; training of employees and interns; and assisting advisors with client requests.
Jen and her husband, Matt, reside in Ontario with their four young children, the youngest born March 2023. Jen enjoys reading, singing, fitness, and outdoor activities, including working on completing hiking the 46 Adirondack high peaks.
Joe graduated from Elmira College in June 2021 earning a Bachelor of Science degree, with dual majors in finance and business administration. He joined Weller Financial Group in August 2021 as a planning assistant and in 2024 he obtained his FINRA Series 65 license. Joe's responsibilities involve client paperwork preparation, assisting advisors with trades and redemptions, analyzing clients' needs and researching suitable products aligned to those needs.
Joe is originally from Wethersfield, Connecticut and now lives in Ontario. He was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams at Elmira college. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and golf.
Alexa began working part-time with Weller Financial Group in 2019 assisting staff with data entry projects and database maintenance. She joined our team as a full-time planning assistant in June 2023, and in 2024 she obtained her FINRA Series 65 license. Alexa's responsibilities include assisting financial advisors with creating, preparing, implementing and reviewing a client's financial plan and advice, as well as data processing, gathering forms and documents, and other financial research.
Alexa grew up in Walworth and is a Wayne Central graduate. She graduated from University of Rochester in May 2023 earning a Bachelor of Science degree, with dual majors in finance and accounting. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, golfing, and is a big sports fan.
